MiG-35 Russia unveils super-Jet 'MiG-35’, offers it for Indian Air Force: Report

Russia has begun testing its super fast, and extremely lethal, MiG-35 fighter jets which can simultaneously capture 10 targets.

According to a report in Daily Star, MiG-35 is an advanced version of  MiG-29 and can reach speeds of Mach 2.23 and fly as high as 19,000 meters.

The report adds that the MiG-35 aircraft is armed with a 30mm gun, air-to-air, air-to-surface, anti-ship, and anti-radar missiles, rockets, bombs and aerial mines. It is also equipped with a very sophisticated electronic warfare system and an anti-missile system.

The fighter jet also has a set of avionics which enables the use of every available type of weapon against aerial, ground and surface targets.

Praising the efficiency of MiG-35, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that it also presents an excellent business opportunity for Russia.

"This is a very profitable business, even from an economic point of view, not to mention the country's security, because it is Russia's segment of light fighters which boasts the most extensive export potential,” Dmitry Rogozin was quoted as saying by Daily Star.

"We don't conceal the fact that we are going to compete with our rivals in this segment of the market," he added.

Dmitry Rogozin had also reportedly offered the MiG-35 jets to India during his recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dmitry Rogozin is believed to have suggested that the Indian Air Force should consider MiG-35 if it were looking to induct more twin-engine jets after Rafale.
