Unidentified gunmen opened fire on Pakistani stage actress Kismat Baig in Lahore today.
According to ‘Dawn’, Kismat Baig was travelling with another person in Lahore when two unidentified men riding a motorcycle shot at them.
Kismat Baig is reported to have received four bullets while her guard received one.
Baig is currently admitted in Services Hospital, Lahore and is said to be in critical condition while his guard’s condition is said to be stable now.
Lahore Police has initiated investigation into the incident.
Another stage actor, Hassan Khan, was tortured by suspects in Gulberg sometime ago. A case was registered against unidentified suspects following his brother’s complaint.
In September this year, television host of a local news channel ‘Abb Takk’ was allegedly poisoned by a ‘fan’.
Sana Faisal, the host of Khufia programme, was allegedly approached by a ‘fan’ in Karachi who asked her for a selfie and an autograph.
Sana also ate the ice cream offered by her fan following which she was hospitalised.
She was believed to have been poisoned by her fan.
