North Korea’s delegation to an Inter-Korean Summit that begins on Friday will include Kim Jong-un’s sister, Kim Yo-Jong, one of his closest advisers.
It is the latest high-profile appearance for Kim Yo-Jong after she attended the Seoul Winter Olympics in February.
North Korea’s ceremonial head of state Kim Yong-Nam, who accompanied her to the Games will also be a part of the North Korean delegation.
The much-anticipated Inter-Korean Summit will begin on Friday at the Peace House on the southern side of the Panmunjom village in the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ).
The summit will be the first time when North Korean supremo Kim Jong-Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-In will meet face-to-face. The meeting will also be only the third time the leaders of the two countries have met since the start of the Korean War in 1950.
