President Donald Trump on Saturday said his upcoming summit with Kim Jong Un is a “one-time shot” for the North Korean leader.
Talking to media persons in Canada before leaving for that historic meeting in Singapore, Trump said he thinks “it’s going to work out very well.”
He further said that it’s “so far, so good” as he headed into what he called “unknown territory in the truest sense.”
However, Trump sounded optimistic and said he believed Kim is prepared to do “something very positive for his people, for himself, his family.”
Trump added that he’s about to undertake what he called a “mission of peace.”
The summit is set for Tuesday, June 12.
