Donald Trump, being one of the most controversial US president till date has been questioned of having mental health issues at times. People has often expressed their regret for having elected the person who might pose a threat to American democracy. Well proving the people wrong, Trump on Friday visited the family members of the Texas mass shootings.
Donald Trump kept the media personnel out of the meeting and privately met the families, also discussed the safety measures as suggested by the families of students killed at different schools to be implemented by the government.
Pamela Stanich — whose 17-year-old son, Jared Black, was among the eight students killed — was one of the parents who met with Trump she wrote on her Facebook post regarding the meeting “He spent time talking to the survivors and asking on what happened and what would have made a difference. Changes are coming for the good. Thank you Mr. Trump.”
He did not come out with a message publicly, for the grieving families and hasn't yet called for the gun control laws.
The spokesman came forward to tell the fox news channel “These events are very tragic, whenever they happen. And you know, the President wants to extend his condolences and talk about the issue of school safety,”
Even though the commission for school safety formed after the Parkland shooting at a high school that killed 17 people, did not face the public or the school community yet, the Education Secretary Betsy DeVos who has been elected as in charge for the commission has announced $1 million for families of the deceased to recover from the traumatising period of loss.
This move by Donald Trump for providing comfort for the victims’ families is seen as a ray of hope in the future where the people hope that the government will bring in various protective measures for the safety of the school students in the nation.
