A 7-year-old South Carolina girl’s conversation with President Donald Trump about Santa has made national news.

The Post and Courier reports that Collman Lloyd of Lexington dialed the North American Aerospace Defense Command on Christmas Eve to check Santa Claus’ position. A staffer who answered asked Collman if she wanted to talk to the president.

In a video posted online, Collman talks to Trump on a cellphone’s speaker. She answers, “yes, sir,” when he asks if she believes in Santa. She repeats the answer when the president follows up with, “Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?”

Collman tells the paper she had never heard the word “marginal” before but was happy to talk to the president.

And it didn’t shake her faith: She and her siblings left cookies and milk out for the jolly old elf.
