Six Taliban militants were killed and four others were injured in a clash in Khakriz district of Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province, police spokesman Abdul Bashir Khaksar said on Monday.
The clash erupted after the militants stormed security checkpoints which triggered a gun battle and it lasted for a few hours.
Four militants sustained injuries, the official said. No comments were made by the officials on the casualties of security personnel. Taliban's comment awaited.
