Woman killed in fridge compressor blast in Odisha

Berhampore (Odisha), May 5: A woman was killed and a man was injured when the compressor of a refrigerator suddenly exploded in the staff quarters of  the local Medical College Hospital here today.





K. Ratnam, the wife of a hospital driver, was cooking on a stove near the refrigerator, when she went to the fridge and opened it. The compressor exploded all of a sudden.

The woman was killed on the spot while the injured man has been admitted to the hospital.
