4 women out of top 10 in civil services results! why are girls outshining boys?

New Delhi: Women candidates have created a history of sorts by bagging first 4 positions in civil services exams declared today. Ira Singhal topped the merit list and she was followed by Renu Raj, Nidhi Gupta and Vandana Rao at 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively.In 2015 CBSE results for 12th Board examination, M.Gayatri topped the merit list followed by Mythili Mishra. It's the same story nowadays in most of the exam results.Recent results of various competitive exams clearly indicate the emergence of a new trend in India.Indian girls, hitherto forced to play second fiddle to boys, are now leaving behind their male counterparts in fiercely fought competitive exams.Why are girls outperforming boys in these exams? Why are they scoring more marks than boys who always boasted of their higher IQ? Is the myth about males being superior to females falling apart?Let's have a look at some of the reason which are helping girls outshine boys in studies:1. Quality of concentration, patience and dedicationBesides the quality of having strong memory power ,girls also have a good concentration power. Infact, concentration and memory are the two mental skills that are interrelated. Girls always work with greater concentration and focus so as to bring out their best in their efforts.Maximum girls try to complete their study at night because of quite and calm surrounding which enables them to concentrate easily. After the surrounding is silent, there is very less chances and scope of distraction. So selection of time also help them to score better.It is said that if you really want to judge a women then start judging her patience. With patience she try hard and labour hard so as to excel in her examination.The work done with full dedication is always worth appreciation. So whatever work is assigned to them, they finish it with full dedication and enjoy doing that so as to bring out best possible result for them.2. More responsible approachIt is not that girls are more intelligent than boys or they are born talented. All that matters here is their nature of being responsible at their work. They are made to nurture, to protect so their duty make them responsible which shines out in every work they perform. They remain regular at studies, they follow the norms of institution and they attend classes regularly. So their punctuality in studies and regular work helps in getting good results. They are quite attentive in classroom, are always engaged in asking queries and they search for lots of answers until they are satisfied with them.3. Different lifestyle and better time managementGirls scores more because they are more sincere and dedicated to their work. It is not that boy are not dedicated. Its all because of different lifestyle both the genders follow. Boys are often indulged in parties, masti, fun, clubs etc but after school, girls directly go to their house which benefit them by getting additional time which they can use for studying. Girls basically avoid roadside meetings and gossips . This concentration and optimum utilization of time makes them excel in the exams than boys. Peer pressure often affects studies.As time management palys a vital role in constructing or destructing one's career. scheduling a proper time table and following it regularly without any delay brushes up the potential and talent of the girls. The better the time is managed the best is the outcome.4. Sincere in completing homeworkDoing homeworks keeps a student in regular practice of writing. This regular practice increases the writing ability by increasing the speed. Not only speed is improvised but it also helps in revising the topics. So a flow is maintained in the mind regarding perticular topics. So they need not worry much at the time of examination.5.Better at memory oriented studiesGirls, generally, are comfortable with memory oriented studies. They are comparatively better with strong verbal fluency, confident personality and strong memory power. In a survey, majority of Psychologists agreed that these differences regarding memory between male and female brains are innate. But this doesnot judge the level of intelligence among the two genders.Deeply going through the study skills, one can find that girls are good at subjects like Science(biology), social studies, English etc but when it comes to math they are weak in calculations. The more calculative the subject is , the more confused the girls are.6.Regular reading habitsGirls are fond of reading novels, autobiographies and magazines in their free time. Infact, reading is the favourite hobby of the girls. Regular reading keeps mind active, increases vocabs , strengthen IQs and keeps individual updated.7. Passion for achieving successA girl is always defined by her sensitivity towards any issues which can affect her emotionally. They are very bad at handeling failures and rejections. so they put more efforts to succeed in their exams. But when it comes of boys they are often casual in their attitude.8. Eagerness to prove her worthMost of the girls are getting education after fighting for their rights at home. Still there exist people who think girls are made for house work, education is not their department to handle.Spending money on their education is waste of money. So they have to keep their interest diverted towards studies for proving their worth to their parents .They work hard to show their family members that money spent on their studies is not going to waste.Even relatives keeps on commenting over the expenses on girl education. According to them, money spent on girls education should be saved for their dowry. So for a girl, it's just the situation like a ship crashed in middle of ocean. They don't have any options. So in that situation one can either swim or sink.
