Kolkata: The West Bengal government has taken up a programme to spend Rs 75 crore for construction and repair of houses of villagers and Rs 10 crore for distribution of seeds and fertilisers among farmers affected by the recent floods in four badly affected districts.
Announcing this here yesterday state Disaster Management Minister Javed Khan said Rs 75 crore would be spent for construction of houses either fully or partially damaged. Steps were on to identify the beneficiaries, the minister said.
