Uttarakhand: India TV exposes govt's claims, Kedarnath temple yet to be cleaned 1 month after tragedy

New Delhi, Jul 18: India TV reporters have exposed the lies of Uttarakhand government's claim that Kedarnath Temple has been cleaned and prayers has started again. India TV reporter Manjeet Negi spent few hours inside the temple and saw cleaning equipment but no cleaning was done. India TV team tracked to Kedarnath through normal route Rambada which was completely washed out in flash-floods. India TV reporter Manjeet Negi and Camerman Vijay Mamgain started their journey on July 15 from Guptkashi and reached Rambada in a Helicopter with Police team headed by DIG G S Martoliya. India TV was the first team to reach Ramabada where they saw around 45 dead bodies laying around. Police team cremated 29 dead bodies the next day. On July 16 India TV reached Kedarnath around 8 pm traveling through the old route. Distance between Rambada to Kedarnath is 7km but now its 10km after the disaster. Around 9pm India TV first visited to Kedarnath temple with State Agriculture Minister Harak singh Rawat. India TV team spent 3 hour in the temple. Harak Singh Rawat apologized for govt's laxity and promised that in next two days temple will be cleaned and he himself will do this work. Next morning Harak singh Rawat flew back to Dehradun without doing any cleaning in the Temple. Claims of government that dead bodies have been cremated are not true as we saw dozens of dead bodies between Rambada and Garudchatti to Kedarnath. India TV team took shelter at a camp established by NDRF and Uttarakhand Police. Next morning India TV team again visited the temple to check govt claims but we saw same sad story. On 17 July morning India TV team returned back to Guptkashi.
