Lucknow: In yet another reshuffle the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred nine IAS officers, including suspended IAS Abhishek Singh, an official spokesman said here.
Abhishek Singh, husband of IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal, who was suspended in October, has been posted as Chief Development Officer Banda.
Singh was suspended in October by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for allegedly treating a Dalit teacher in an "inhuman" manner in Mathura district.
Singh, who was posted as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Mahawan area of Mathura, treated 55-year-old Fauran Singh, Dalit teacher, in an alleged inhuman manner.
Durga Shakti Nagpal, a 2010-batch IAS officer, was suspended last year on July 27 ostensibly for taking on the powerful sand mining mafia when she was the SDM of Gautam Budh Nagar.
The Chief Minister had said she was suspended for arbitrarily ordering the demolition of a wall of an under-construction mosque in Kadalpur village.
Her suspension was later revoked by the state government in September.
Principal Secretary Minor Irrigation S P Singh has been shifted to Public Enterprises Department in the same capacity. He has been replaced by Chandra Prakash.
Rajiv Agarwal, who was on the waitlist, has been posted as member (judicial) State Revenue Board.
Additional Chief Judicial Officer Noida V K Pawar has been shifted as Special Secretary Technical Education. CDO Mainpuri B K Tripathi has been transferred as Special Secretary Food and Civil Supplies. Special Secretary Secondary Education Mani Prasad Mishra has been shifted to Home Department in the same capacity.
Joint Development Commissioner Allahabad Hari Shanker Upadhyaya has been transferred as member Revenue Board. Special Secretary Secretariat Administration Sudhir Kumar Dixit has been shifted as controller weights and measurement.
