Union Budget 2014: Top 10 "watch outs" for Delhi

New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the maiden budget of Narendra Modi government for the financial year 2014-14 on 10 July 2014 in the parliament. The government came out with several schemes, reforms, projects


8. Urban Development Fund


A separate amount of Rs 134 crore has been allocated for the National Capital Region under the budget allocation to the Urban Development Ministry. It will give boost to several infrastructural projects for the city.


9. Income Tax Rebate

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has tried to woo the middle class by extending the rebate on Income Tax. The bar is extended from Rs 2, 00,00 to Rs 2,50,00 per annum.  Whereas for senior citizens, the slab is extended from Rs 2,50,00 to Rs 3,00,00 per annum.

This benefit will be cherished by the working class of the national capital as well as the whole country.


10. Statistical System

FM Arun Jaitley laid keen eye on lacking statistical system and assigned Rs 2 crore for improvement in this sector.
