Mumbai, Shiv Sena executive chief Uddhav Thackeray today said he would send his photography book, depicting pictures of rich cultural heritage of Maharashtra, as a gift to President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
"I want the President, PM and chief ministers to know the rich heritage, culture and tradition of Maharashtra. I am soon sending them copies of my book," he said at a function here.
Uddhav, also a known photographer, has recently published a book 'Maharashtra Desha', which is a compilation of his aerial photographs highlighting forts and tourist spots of the State.
The Shiv Sena leader said aerial photography enabled him to get a different view of Maharashtra.
He also announced to donate money from the sale of the book to the farmers in the State.
Uddhav had carried a rally last year visiting farmers suicide areas in Vidarbha region.
Expressing concern over the outbreak of Malaria in the city, Uddhav said Shiv Sena would conduct health camps from the money generated through the sale the book in the city. PTI
