Imphal, Jun 28: Two persons - Rohit Kumar Das, 28, and Ranjan Mahato, 24, both hailing from Begusarai, Bihar, died in a bomb attack on their rented room last evening. Four others were injured.
The bomb attack took place in the house of Ningthoujam Priyosakhi at Uripok Tourangbam Leikai.
The two migrants from Bihar were stayig there. Among the five people injured is a Manipuri.
Local women today staged a sit-in protest today condemning the act and appealed to miscreants not to repeat the act again.
The bomb attack took place when six persons were sitting together inside the rented room.
Those injured in the attack are: Shikumar Das (22), Surendra Das (50), Vijay Kumar Das (24) and Ayekpam Frankie (35).
The condition of all three Biharis is said to be critical, as they suffered multiple splinter injuries. Frankie's condition is relatively stable.
