Ahmednagar, Jan 30: Two contract labourers were killed in the blast of army explosives at the army firing range in Khare Karjune village of Nagar tehsil of the district on Sunday, police said.
The incident happened last evening, police said adding that the deceased have been identified as Roshan Rajput(40) and Sonu Jalaram Tarak (25).
The two contract labourers had been asked to collect the metal remnants of the explosives from the army firing range to be sold in scrap, police inspector Bapu Mahajan of MIDC police station said.
“But unfortunately, the explosive blasted and killed both the victims on the spot at 7 pm,” Mahajan said.
