Two infants critical in Maharashtra after being given acid instead of vitamin

Nagpur: Two infants, 9-month-old Chakradhar Bhede and 18-month-old Muskaan Meshram were critical, when an Anganwadi worker mistakenly gave them acid to drink in place of vitamin A.



The incident took place on Thursday in Selotpur village under Tiroda tehsil of Gondia district.

The Anganwadi worker Aasha was supposed to give both the infants a dose of Vitamin A.  Gondia and Nagpur police are investigating. The infants are undergoing treatment in Columbia Hospital, Nagpur.
