The Asian College of Journalism is located in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. It is dedicated to the task of producing journalists.

It is a postgraduate college designed to provide students with world-class journalism education adapted to the specific needs of the country.

The ACJ was founded in Bangalore as the Asian College of Journalism, Bangalore in 1994 by the Indian Express group, offering only a print course. In 2000, it was taken over by a not-for-profit trust founded by journalist and media entrepreneur, Sashi Kumar and was shifted to Chennai.

Members of the previous ACJ classes have proved to be in high demand and are already at work in all areas of journalism. Their success is a tribute both to their talent and to the institution that educated and trained them.
