Nashik (Maha), Mar 29: Three persons were killed in a collision between two trucks at Taharabad on Vinchur- Prakasha state highway, police said today.
The incident took place last night when a sand-laden truck coming to Taharabad from Pimpalner, rammed into another truck proceeding to Pimpalner from Satana, they said.
The three deceased have been identified as Eknath Dhunda Vetal (43), Yallappa Kattimani (40) and Yogesh Suresh Hiray (32), police added.
In another accident, driver and cleaner of an oil tanker were feared to have been charred to death on Manmad- Malegaon Road in the district, after a container bumped into the tanker at Kanadgaon Shivar last night, police said adding that the tanker caught fire and was completely gutted.
In a separate incident, a container carrying 130 new motorcycles suddenly caught fire at Nardana in Shindkheda taluka of north Maharashtra's Dhule district last morning.
Even though all the motorcycles were reduced to ashes, nobody was injured in the incident, police said.
