Three CRPF personnel were on Wednesday injured in a blast during an operation to remove a mine planted in a road by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district.
The incident took place in Cherpal village when a mine went off while security personnel were demining the Bijapur- Gangalur road, District Superintendent of Police Avinash Mohanty told PTI. The security personnel had started the operation after receiving a tip off that Naxals had planted a landmine on the stretch, Mohanty said.
Naxals had yesterday ambushed a CRPF contingent in the state's Narayanpur district killing 26 personnel of the force. PTI
