Srinagar, May 7: The world famous Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar – Asia's largest – is witnessing a huge rush of foreign and domestic tourists during peak bloom time this year.
Authorities predict a record number of tourists would visit the scenic spot during peak bloom time this year.
By April 12, 75,000 tourists had visited, which was a significant jump from previous years -- about 60,000 visited in 2012, and 57,000 in 2011.
Authorities hope the number this year will exceed two lakhs before the season ends in mid-May .
