Haridwar/Amritsar/New Delhi, Apr 13 : Thousands of devotees took a holy dip in lakes and rivers on the occasion of Baisakhi, the festival of joy for farmers.
At Haridwar's Har ki Pauri ghat, thousands of devotees assembly to take the early morning dip in Ganga water.
At the Golden Temple in Amritsar, people celebrated Baisakhi by taking a holy dip in the Sarovar. People across Haryana and Punjab celebrated the festival to the accompaniment of beating of drums.
In Mumbai on Friday night, actor Dharmendra and Flying Sikh Milkha Singh were given Punjab Icon awards at a Baisakhi celebration.
