New Delhi: The supporters of Gopinath Munde who had gathered for his funeral in Beed, Maharashtra turned violent and torched vehicles soon after he was cremated on Wednesday afternoon.
Alleging conspiracy, the ardent supporters demanded CBI inquiry into the leader's death.
They also gheraoed Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's car when he was heading to a helipad in Beed.
Thousands of people, who were gathered at the ground of the Vaijnath co-operative sugar mill where the body was kept, were chanting emotional slogans since the morning.
Some were even chanting slogans against Munde's rivals.
