Jaipur: Over ten people including four policemen were today injured when a clash broke out between police officials and factory workers in Alwar district, police said today.
Following a local court's directive, officials had gone to remove protesting workers from factory premises when stones were pelted at the police, Vikas Kumar, SP Alwar said. The police resorted to mild lathi charge to control the crowd.
The labourers also torched four vehicles belonging to the factory management, he said.
Over ten persons including policemen who were injured in the clash have been admitted to hospital, he said. “The factory premises have been evacuated but some labourers are still assembled outside and efforts are on to pacify them,” Commanding officer Bhiwari Vipin Sharma said.
