The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma are at loggerheads since some time. While the former is claiming that the ancient monument of love, the eighth wonder – Taj Mahal is turning yellow due to the nearby graveyard and sewage, the latter recently informed the Parliament that the monument is “not turning yellow” and is being well-preserved by the local authorities.
After three-days' probable recheck of facts and figures, the ASI officials reclaimed (this time officially!) that yes, the ancient monument is actually turning yellow due to the environmental factors, especially from the carbon dioxide emitting from nearby graveyard.
