Indore, Apr 9: With one more person succumbing to H1N1 virus at a private hospital here, the death toll due to the deadly infection in the city has risen to 14 since January, health officials said.
A 58 years old man, N R Verma, a resident of Rukmani Nagar here, was admitted to Choithram Hospital on March 29 and he died of swine flu last evening, Integrated Surveillance Project (IDSP) official G L Sodhi said.
Of the 14 victims, nine belonged to nearby cities of Indore division, while five were local residents, he said.
Among the nine H1N1 patients admitted in private hospitals, eight are in critical condition, Sodhi said.
