New Delhi, Dec 19: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy today welcomed AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa's decision to expel Sasikala and her relatives from her party.
“The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's decision will now enable her to give clean governance and to use her intellect for making the state prosperous and law abiding,” he said in a statement.
Jayalalithaa today expelled her close aide V K Sasikala and her husband M Natarajan besides 10 others from the party's primary membership.
The Jayalalithaa-Sasikala saga had been always a talking point in state political circles as the latter is seen with the chief minister in most of her private and public appearances.
Sasikala is one of the accused in the disproportionate case relating to Jayalalithaa, who had appeared before a trial court in Bangalore recently.
