Kolkata: Incarcerated Saradha Group chairman Sudipta Sen was today admitted to the jail hospital in the Alipore Correctional Home for routine health check-up, Jail authorities said.
"He (Sudipta Sen) has been admitted for a routine health check-up," Additional Director General (Prisons) Adhir Sharma said, dispelling rumours that Sen was very ill.
Sudipta Sen was arrested for the much talked about Saradha chit fund scam that was caused by the collapse of a Ponzi scheme run by Saradha Group.
Along with Sudipta Sen, many high profile names are also linked with the multi-crore Saradha scam.
