Siliguri: A jawan died and 35 others injured in a bus mishap in Darjeeling district of West Bengal today.
63 jawans were travelling in two buses from their 41 battalion camp to Dohia for firing practise.
The incident took place when one vehicle overturned and fell into a roadside ditch, SSB PRO Kariappa said.
Four jawans are seriously injured, Kariappa said, adding that rescue operation is still on.
The jawan identified as Anju S died on the spot while 35 others were injured.
All injured have been admitted to the North Bengal Medical College Hospital and Bankdubi Army Hospital for emergency medical assistance.
