New Delhi: Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani will inaugurate a six-day book fair at Mahila Haat in North Delhi today, NMDC yesterday said.
The fair organised by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) in collaboration with National Book Trust will offer books of different genres for readers of all age groups.
Leader of House in NDMC Mira Aggarwal said besides offering books on discounted rates for children, adults and general readers, the fair will encompass a range of events such as counselling sessions, book discussions and panel discussions.
“Some of the interesting events that will feature at the book fair are shadow puppet show by Karnataka Puppetry Cultural Centre, a presentation on children honoured with bravery award, discussion with Urdu and Hindu humorists and many more,” Aggarwal said in a statement by the NDMC.
Delhi BJP Chief Satish Upadhyay will be the chief guest at the function. Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari will also be present.
