New Delhi: Delivering a child is a much challenging thing for expecting mothers in a village of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir as there is no doctor or hospital facility in the village.
Here expecting mothers are forced to walk 45 miles in -35 degree Celsius temperature in order to reach to the nearest hospital in Lingshed so that, they can deliver the baby safely.
It took them almost 9 hours to reach to the hospital and then they had to repeat the nine day journey when the baby was born, carrying him home.
