Amritsar, Jan 30: Police on Tuesday foiled an attempt by the activists of Shiv Sena to allegedly stop the Delhi-Lahore bus here in protest against the brutal killing of two Indian soldiers along the LoC with the timely arrest of few protesters.
Based on a specific information, the activists, who were intending to stop the bus were arrested much before the vehicle's arrival on the National Highway near here, police said.
However, the Shiv Sena members were set free later, they added
Earlier, the state vice-president of the outfit Baldev Bhardwaj had condemned the beheading of two Army jawans by the Pakistani troops and demanded that the Indian Government should snap all ties with the neighbouring country in protest against the incident.
