Shiv Sena flays Mumbai Congress chief for anti-Lata remarks

Mumbai:  Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray yesterday slammed Mumbai Congress chief Janardhan Chandurkar for his critical remarks against legendary singer and Bharat Ratna awardee Lata Mangeshkar.  Chandurkar recently said the country's highest civilian honour should


“He (Chandurkar) does not possess credentials to stay at the position he holds,” he added.

The Sena leader also praised cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is playing his 200th and last Test match. Uddhav was accompanied by BJP leader Gopinath Munde and RPI president Ramdas Athawale.
