New Delhi, Jun 9: Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit today lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal and asked why, being a resident of Ghaziabad, he was not opposing the power tariff hike in Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing a Congress rally in Bindapur, Dikshit said, UP government recently hiked power tariff by 28 per cent and there were frequent power cuts, but Kejriwal was not raising the issue.
On the other hand, Delhites, she claimed, were getting round-the-clock power supply, and yet Kejriwal was make power tariff an issue in Delhi.
Dikshit claimed that the per capita income of an average Delhite was now more than Rs 2 lakhs. "People coming from outside now say Delhi has changed", said Dikshit.
Congress MLA Mukesh Sharma gave the slogan: "Chauthi baari, Sheila Dikshit sab par bhaari" (Fourth time, Sheila Dikshit, ahead of the rest)
A group of BJP workers showed black flags and chanted anti-Sheila slogans near the venue.
