New Delhi: With twists and counter twists surfacing every single day in sensational Sheena Bora murder case, there is hardly any person left in her family who could be put above suspicion.
According to a report in Quint, even Sheena's brother Mikhail Bora's role in the whole episode could not be overlooked.
The Quint report says, when Sheena's friends visited her Sundarpur house in Guwahati, where she lived before shifting to Mumbai, they came away with the thought that Mikhail had acted “funny”, telling them that his sister had moved to the US to pursue higher studies.
By that time, Mikhail, whose economic situation was not sound, had purchased a Tata Aria car worth Rs 12 lakh, the report adds.
Circumstantial evidence suggests that while he received a Rs 15,000 allowance per month from Indrani, he may have blackmailed her mother to cough up Rs 20-25 crore which would go towards purchasing a property in Bangalore.
Mikhail had earlier told the police that Indrani had thrice attempted to kill him and also spiked his drink the day Sheena disappeared in April 2012.
Mikhail has alleged, hours before Sheena was taken out by Indrani and Khanna on April 24, 2012 on what turned out to be the last drive of her life, his mother had drugged him. He managed to escape from the spot and averted becoming the second victim, he said.
Indrani was arrested last month along with her former driver Shyam Rai and second husband Sanjeev Khanna on charges of murdering Sheena and dumping her remains in Raigad in April 2012.
The case has been in the news for the last few days due to its twists and turns and shocking revelations.
