Mumbai: In yet another sensational revelation in Sheena Bora murder case, a relative has claimed that Mikhael had sent the resignation on behalf of Sheena to her employer.
According to a report published in The Telegraph, the relative claimed that Mikhael emailed Sheena's resignation 13 days after her purported death.
He was the one who also kept her sister's linkedin profile page alive. Mikhael was having all Sheena's password, as both were very close.
"He did it at his mother Indrani Mukerjea's behest," the relative from her mother's side said.
Sheena was employed as an assistant manager with Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd since June 20, 2011.
Reports said that Indrani paid Rs 12,000 per month to Mikhael to keep the secrets. However, it is yet to clear that whether he was aware of her sister's murder.
Indrani, the wife of former STAR India CEO Peter Mukerjea, is now in police custody and is accused of murdering her daughter Sheena on April 24, 2012.
Mikhael was yesterday taken to Mumbai for questioning. He has submitted some evidence to the police which police officials said that the are in the process of verifying it.
Meanwhile, in a major breakthrough late evening yesterday, Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria told media persons that Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani's former husband, has cracked and confessed to his role in the crime.
Khanna has been charged with murder, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, destroying evidence and more. His mobile phone, laptop and passport have been seized but he has denied the police charges.
The case dates back to 2012 when Raigad police had found the remains of Indrani's sister Sheena Bora, following which a murder case was registered against unidentified persons.
