Amritsar, Jul 19 : Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will do the restoration of the historic Sri Guru Granth Sahib which was damaged during Saka Nanakan Sahib, 1921 and Operation Bluestar in 1984.
SGPC will take advice of experts from Hyderabad and Patiala.
Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said on Thursday that Sri Guru Granth Sahib installed in the sanctum sanctorum of Golden Temple during army's attack in 1984 besides Sri Guru Granth Sahib installed at Har Ki Pauri and another golden 'swaroop' were damaged with bullets.
He said the SGPC would also seek help from archaeological department in Delhi and if need arises, it would get photography, digitization and videography of these 'swaroop'.
