Gurgaon: The Gurgaon district administration on Thursday ordered schools to install CCTV cameras in school premises, classrooms as well as in school buses.
Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner T L Satyaprakash instructed school principals in a meeting to implement the order and also to send a detailed report on its implementation by Sep 11.
'' All private buses run by the schools must have two CCTV cameras installed. They should be of best quality with advanced features such as digital video recording, tilt and zoom options'' asked commissioner.
All the cameras must have storage capacity of 15 days and the schools need to keep a minimum of 6 months backup of the recordings on hard disk asked Satyaprakash.
Further, the buses must have female assistant carrying girl students. The school will also be required to install GPRS to track their location, the deputy commissioner instructed.
