New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the probe into allegations of sexual harassment by a former Gwalior district judge against a sitting judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
The composition of the committee, set up by the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court, was objected to by the woman judge saying that it included a judge who had transferred her out of Gwalior.
An apex court bench headed by Justice J.S. Kehar also issued notice to the high court judge and the registrar general of Madhya Pradesh High Court after senior counsel Indira Jaising urged the appointment of a fresh committee comprising two chief justices of high courts and a judge to probe the allegations of sexual harassment.
