Anantapur (AP), June 24: Andhra Pradesh Police have asked the Sathya Sai Central Trust in Puttaparthi to furnish vehicle movement registers in connection with the recent seizure of Rs 35 lakhs from a vehicle. “They (police) have not asked anything. They asked for vehicle movement register, I gave that,” Trust Secretary K Chakravarthy told reporters in Puttaparthi.
Asked for the dates about which police sought information over the movement of vehicles, he said, “Whatever dates, they asked for, that is given.” The Anantapur district police, however, declined to comment over the issue.
Police had seized about Rs 35.5 Leah from a vehicle, allegedly linked to the Trust in some way, at a checkpost in Anantapur district on June 18.
Meanwhile, the late Sathya Sai Baba's caretaker Satyajit, who was prominently mentioned in media reports with regard to various issues, spoke to reporters today for the first time after the spiritual leader's demise.
