Lucknow: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold a 10-day conclave here in October, an official said on Wednesday.
Top RSS functionaries, including sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and karyavak Bhaiyya Ji Joshi, will attend the event from October 13 to 23.
The event will also see the RSS ‘taking a birds eye view' of the tenure of the Central government so far and informally suggest some course correction, if need be, functionaries said.
The meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal - the highest policy formulation body of the RSS - takes place once a year. The Uttar Pradesh capital will host the event after many years.
Among other topics, the meeting will also debate on ‘Love Jihad', a term used by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to accuse Muslim men of luring Hindu girls into marriage and then forcing them to convert to Islam.
The political situation in the country, and preparations for the golden jubilee functions of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad will also be discussed.
