Shirdi, Jan 2: Devotees of Sai Baba donated a record Rs 14 crore 60 lakhs cash and jewellery at the Shirdi shrine from December 23 to January 1, officials said.
The donations included Rs 11 cr cash, 1.25 kg gold and 13.5 kg silver.
In 2011, the Shirdi shrine got Rs 250 crore in donations from its devotees.
The Sai Sansthan Trust has invested Rs 500 crore in different bank accounts so far.
The shrine has 300 kgs gold and nearly 3,000 kg silver in its kitty, said Jayant Sashane, chairman of the trust.
