New Delhi:The Rashtrapati Bhavan will observe 'Earth Hour' on March 28, a statement said on Friday.
All non-essential lights in the President house and the estate will be switched off for an hour on Saturday at 8.30 pm.
Residents at the estate were advised to turn off lights and electrical gadgets in their houses for an hour.
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held worldwide annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. on the last Saturday of March month.
