New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh visited headquarter of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP).
This was a familiarization visit to the Force, which is primarily deployed for guarding the Indo-China Border.
Singh was accompanied by senior officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
Rajnath Singh was received by Subhas Goswami, DG ITBP along with other senior officers at the Directorate General.
Singh visited the Photo Gallery prepared for the occasion depicting history, training, operations and other aspects of ITBP.
Singh was also shown Siachen clothing being used by ITBP in the border areas.
The Home Minister was given a detailed presentation on operations, border management, internal security, personnel and administration of the Force. The Home Minster was appraised about working of ITBP in different parts of the country, Border Management, LWE operations and Internal Security.
He was also appraised about the various problems being faced by the ITBP at border areas.
