As many as 11 people were killed in a road accident in Rajasthan on Tuesday. According to the details, the accident was reported from Nagaur, where a cruiser collided with a truck.
Seven people were critically injured due to the impact of the accident.
Commenting on the incident, Shri Balaji Police Station SHO said those injured were shifted to a hospital in Bikaner's Nokha for treatment.
Expressing grief over the loss of lives in the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the horrific road accident in Nagaur, Rajasthan is very painful.
"The horrific road accident in Nagaur, Rajasthan is very painful. I express my condolences to the families of all those who have lost their lives in this accident and wish the injured a speedy recovery," PM Modi said.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced ex-gratia assistance of Rs 2 lakhs each to kin of 11 persons from Ujjain who died in a road accident in Nagaur.
The state govt will bear the entire cost of treatment for the injured, the chief minister said.
