Mumbai, Jun 11: Heavy rains lashed this metro again this morning causing waterlogging in many low-lying areas in the suburbs.
There has been intermittent rains for the last 50 hours in Mumbai. Heavy rains lashed Andheri, Goregaon, Malad, Dahisar, Mulund, Ghatkopar, Thane, Sion , Dharavi, Matunga and Dadar this morning.
Weather department said monsoon clouds would continue to remain over Mumbai for the next 24 hours.
The rains, which had already crippled life on Monday, continue to disrupt running of local suburban trains, with traffic snarls caused due to waterlogging.
Trains have been running 10-15 minutes late on Central railway this morning, while one the Harbour rate, the delay is 15 to 25 minutes. On the Western line, the trains are running 5 to 8 minutes late.
There have been reports of waterlogging on the rail tracks in Bhandup, Thane, Sion, King's Circle, Wadala, Reay Road, and several other stations.
Vehicular traffic is slow between Kandivali and Santacruz, between Sion and Thane till LBS Road and between Kherwadi and Mahim.
Traffic is also slow on S V Road, Tulsi Pipe Road, Link Road, Peddar Rod, Napean Sea Road, Dadar, Hindmata and Parel.
Waterlogging has been reported from Hindmata circle, Malad subway, Andheri subway, Juhu JVPD, Juhu Church, Versova church, Malad, Kendipada, MIDC Andheri, chakala, Veera Desai Road, Ketkipada, Kandivali, Thakur village, Sion and Matunga circle.
