Chandigarh, Dec 4: The Punjab government has issued notification revising the Dearness Allowance of pensioners/ family pensioners/extra ordinary pensioners from 65 to 72 per cent with effect from 1st July, 2012 to compensate them for rise of cost of living.
The DA been revised on the pattern of central government and a ready reckoner has been supplied to all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDO) and nationalised banks to calculate the quantum of dearness relief payable to each individual, an official release said here today.
