New Delhi, March 9 : Ajit Singh, who works as security guard with ACE detective agency in Satya Niketan, claims he saw the assailant standing near Radhika Tanwar, after he heard the gunshot on the foot overbridge near Dhaula Kuan, reports The Times Of India.
"The boy in his 20s was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and had a backpack...He was standing facing the girl, who had fallen on the ground", Ajit Singh told the police.
Ajit Singh, police says, did not see the assailant shoot at Radhika, but heard the gunshot while he was walking on the foot overbridge.
Says Ajit: "I asked the boy why he was standing there and what had happened. I saw the girl ws hit and she had fallen on the ground. The boy did not say anything."
A few people had also gathered but the youth did not move. Says Ajit: "The youth did not have the gun in his hand at the moment. However, when passerby gathered to help the girl and take her to hospital, the boy disappeared from the spot".
Ajit Singh lives in Najafgarh and works in Satya Niketan. He was walking towards his office and was just a few metres away from the scene of crime. He noticed three girls rushing to the spot, claiming they were Radhika's friends.
When Singh sought help from the youth and asked him if he knew the girl, the youth did not respond or move.
Delhi Police is questioning two of Radhika's friends, Aditya and Pankaj, who were reportedly in touch with her. Radhika's and her friends' call details are also being checked because the killer obviously knews about her movements, police sources said.
