New Delhi: BJP today asked all its mayors in the three municipal corporations in the national capital to present within 10 days their vision documents for making the civic bodies transparent and corruption-free.
In a meeting with the three mayors and senior leaders of the corporations, Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay told them that negligence of any kind, especially in the sanitation department, would not be tolerated at any cost.
All three municipal bodies—the North, South and East Delhi Municipal Corporations (NDMC, SDMC, EDMC) -- are led by BJP.
“All mayors should present their vision documents within 10 days with the objective of making the corporations corruption-free and transparent. We need to observe zero tolerance against negligence and corruption, especially in sanitation work,” Upadhyay said.
He also asked the civic leaders to conduct surprise visits in their respective zones and maintain contact on this issue with local resident welfare associations (RWAs).
The leaders of the House in the three civic bodies were also directed to regularly monitor sanitation work.
“Mayors should get vision documents prepared from the health, education and horticulture committees so that the people of Delhi may be provided with excellent services in the field of basic education and health,” the Delhi BJP chief also said.
