Srinagar: Security has been beefed up across Jammu and Kashmir after three suspected terrorists were noticed in Katra of Reasi district.
A senior police official said that they have received some specific inputs that three Lashkar terrorists have crossed the International Border in Akhnoor sector to enter into the Indian territory.
All the three terrorists are laden with arms and ammunition and that they have barged into Katra -- the base camp for pilgrims who visit Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.
An alert has been sounded in all the districts of the state and especially in Katra, the official said, additional security forces have been deployed to ensure peace and harmony prevail.
He also said that Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been informed about the same and hunt to nab the militants are on.
Meanwhile, sources said that terrorists can target religious places, Army posts and schools.
